Meet The Owners
John became a builder in 2005 after working in construction since 1977, and Roxanne, who’d been a hospitality worker for 20 years, dove headfirst into managing their first business together. After spending the large majority of their lives on the Gold Coast, they were both in desperate need of a change from the hustle and bustle of the ever-expanding city. Selling their home in 2024 gave them the chance they’d been hoping for – they bought the Tolga Caravan Park business and relocated for a fresh new start.
Of course, there was lots of work to be done. Roxanne and John had many aspirations for the park, starting with the entrance. What was once a dull driveway was spruced up with beautiful hanging flowers, lovely banners featuring photography of the Atherton Tablelands, and a new garden bed with vibrant plants. Then their attention turned to the outdoor seating area – the pond was cleaned up and filled with neon tetras, platys, and snails, while the surrounding area was decorated with thriving plants and flowering vines that spread across the walls for added privacy and shade.
The park is still a work in progress, but John and Roxanne continue to work towards making Tolga Caravan Park a place that guests will love and look forward to visiting again.
Meet The Staff
Graeme - Caretaker
Whether it’s keeping the grounds tidy or providing assistance, Graeme ensures that the park looks great and the guests are well taken care of. With our handy caretaker around, you can be sure he’ll get the job done.
Sage - Office / Food Van
With ten years’ experience in hospitality and retail, Sage is often the first point of contact in reception, and the one in charge when the bosses are away. On Saturday they help out in the food van and brew amazing coffee.
Shanelle - Office / Food Van
Shanelle has several years of experience in retail and hospitality. While she occasionally helps out in reception, she can mainly be found in the food van on Saturdays. If you’re looking for delicious food, she’s your gal.
Belinda - Cleaner
Lived on the Gold Coast for 35 years but moved to help her sister, Roxanne, with the business. With many years of experience in hospitality and cleaning, Belinda does a wonderful job at ensuring the cabins are in perfect shape for the next guest.
Pauline - Cleaner
Pauline, our newest member of staff, does a marvelous job at keeping our amenities in perfect condition. She’s a great baker and is always down for a good chat and laugh.
